Accounts Administrator - Novus

Start date: Immediately DOE London Flexible

Role Summary

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an additional IBA Technician to join us at Novus Underwriting.  As the IBA Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely allocation of Premium received onto the EPIC Accounting system, raising any queries encountered with the Novus team. Reconciliation and payment of premium and claims onto the insurers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Monthly production of Agent Statements chasing premium and to operate the credit control function, in conjunction with colleagues as appropriate, strictly within agreed Company procedures

  • Daily posting of receipts and payments, including daily maintenance of the Novus IBA cash book, reconciling payments made, when necessary.

  • Working closely with the Novus Team in regard to any queries on remittances received.

  • Ensure all month-end routines are strictly adhered to, in particular, settlement of insurers’ accounts within the applicable individual terms of credit.

  • Assist the Company’s Accountants in their annual review/audit of the business.

  • Any other duties, as requested by your Line Manager, in accordance with the nature of this position.

Role Requirements

  • Accuracy and Attention to detail

  • Accounting applications.

  • Proficiency in Excel and various Data platforms

  • Reconciliation process, e.g. Bordx to monies received.

  • The Company's Credit management procedures and dealings with a Broker Accounting System.

  • At least 5 A-C Grade GCSE’s including English, Maths and ICT

  • Insurance qualifications e.g. CII (desirable, but not essential)
