Broker Services Executive - ConsiliumRe

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced broker technician to join our specialist ConsiliumRe team. The role is focusing on international clientele. This is a busy environment where you'll be dealing with a wide range of clients and looking after all of their (re)insurance requirements.

ConsiliumRe is the international facultative broking division of Consilium. We advise and support clients with placing risk into global (re)insurance markets, through a multilingual, international team providing in-depth expertise on a wide variety of markets. We offer clients particularly strong relationships with the different markets in London, Asia, Europe, CIS, the Middle East and Latin America, and pride ourselves on finding innovative placement solutions and a high quality personal service.

Role Responsibilities

  • Liaise with placement and technical teams to assist the delivery and processing of (re)insurance placements, using relevant systems.

  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely input of data into systems

  • Account management including renewal chasers through to file closures

  • Maintain an electronic filing system

  • Full responsibility of handling all transactions placed via Lloyd’s through Xchanging systems, including the reconciliation of queries

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the clients and prospects

  • Review, monitor and provide resolution to technical questions from markets & finance

  • Creation of debit/credit notes

  • Providing broker support and creating documentation to be taken to the market e.g. creation and checking of an MRC slips and endorsements

  • Management of in-house schemes, ensuring Bordereau’s are up to date and all data recorded is accurate

  • Carrying out reviews to ensure the quality of both personal outputs and those of the wider team

Role Requirements

  • The role requires 2+ years’ experience working in a technical/broker processing role within a Lloyd’s Broker.

  • Experience across all lines of business would be ideal for this role.

  • Experience in processing policy endorsements and slips coupled with strong technical knowledge

  • Experience in using the Xchanging system would be beneficial

  • Insurance qualifications e.g. CII. (Desirable).

  • Basic commercial (re)insurance awareness
