Delegated Underwriting Authority Technician - Consilium
As Delegated Underwriting Authority Technician you will ensure DUA's across all approved &/or new classes of business are established and controlled in accordance with group Delegated Authority framework and Operational Procedures and within London Market and Lloyds DUA Code of Practice guidelines and standards.
You will assist new business prospects seeking Agency status or to establish DUA arrangements, involving extensive internal & external stakeholder engagement, to achieve desired outcomes.
Manage DUA arrangements, ensuring the day to day activity is within the parameters of any DUA or Service Level Agreement, the required and appropriate data is captured, ensuring accurate reporting of risk, premium and claims data, in accordance with KPI's and deliverables.
You will play an integral role within the Aventum Group collaborating with the other support services, to deliver a consistent level of feedback to the business divisions concerning the Technical Validation, Pre & Post Placing Quality Assurance reviews, and internal audit compliance testing.
You will use your judgment and inquisitiveness to ensure staff are adhering to the obligations to DUA arrangements, the quality of decisions mitigate any client detriment.
Assist the DUA Manager in the oversight and governance of the Groups DUA portfolio ensuring all pre & post bind processes are adhered to in accordance with the Groups DA framework & guidelines.
Drafting of templated and bespoke DA agreements and lineslip wordings.
Oversight of the new Coverholder approvals, renewals and post approval changes including assisting key stakeholders.
Maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders; Lloyds, Regulators, Brokers, Coverholders & Market Peers.
Assist with team projects, taking ownership, working with necessary departments to achieve required outcomes.
Participate and contribute to team, internal/external stakeholder meetings, liaising with underwriters and other departments to ensure collaborative approach.
Represent DUA Management with Aventum International Operations contributing to the promotion of the team with the Aventum group.
Keep abreast of market dynamics and demonstrates awareness in order to evolve DUA framework.
Maintain knowledge of the insurance regulatory environment, introducing appropriate changes to procedures including complaints, relevant to DUA arrangements and associated reporting requirements.
Use analytical skills to translate MI into a view of customer experience, production of relevant statistical information.
Oversee and monitor, submissions via Insurers Market Repository, including the loading up of all placing documentation, post placing activity and Bordereau submissions, creating working packages as required and recording of subsequent signing activity.
Address any queries which are raised in connection with work packages. Communicate required changes to the business and conclude work package activity, achieving required signings.
Monitor the processing the Risk, Premium, Claims bordereaux and Gross Written & Estimated Premium Income Limits, using Policy Administration Systems, addressing the development of system capabilities.
Produce operational reporting and support the business with their binder MI needs, undertaking quality checks and monitoring of the aging and escalation of queries.
Provide input into the planning, forecasting and agreeing service volumes and service level metrics.
Assist in identifying potential or actual issues that may adversely affect the business.
Experience in delegated authority business, preferably working in an insurance company or Lloyds syndicate.
Experience of working within the London / Lloyds insurance market
Specifically relating to delegated underwriting authority
Experience of using Lloyds tools such as Atlas, BAR, LM TOM DA SATS, SDC
