Senior Account Executive - Consilium

Role Summary

Consilium is a Lloyds Broker based within the City of London. The role of Senior Account Executive is to manage our account portfolio and generate and secure new business. The role requires strong communication skills and a customer service attitude are essential. The Account Director must be results-driven and help us achieve our business goals. Ultimately, they should be able to achieve sales and profitability objectives by effectively managing new accounts.

Role Responsibilities

  • Set and monitor sales targets

  • Identify potential customers and set appropriate strategies

  • Develop strong and long-term client relationships

  • Act as the liaison between agents and placement brokers/Insurers/Underwriters

  • Maintain the CRM system (or similar) with accurate data as new business risks

  • Supervise the account handlers and ensure deadlines are met

  • To aid in the training of account handlers

  • Resolve issues and handle complaints quickly and effectively

  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements

  • Support brokers when required

  • Gather feedback and suggest ways to improve agent relationships

  • Organise, manage and run a renewal book of allocated risks

  • Handle the placement of allocated new business enquiries in a pro-active manner

  • Carry out reviews, ensure quality of both personal outputs & those of the team

  • Use formal reporting mechanisms, as defined by Risk and Compliance or Internal

  • Audit, to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures.

  • At all times, consider the effect of any actions taken on the customers of the Company, with the intention of improving their experience.

  • All employees must endeavor to provide accurate, complete and appropriate data, in accordance with the Company’s data policy, as part of their roles and responsibilities at all times.

Role Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an Account Executive in Property, Liability and CAR

  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)

  • At least 5 A-C Grade GCSE’s including English, Maths and ICT

  • Insurancequalificationse.g. CII(Desirable)
