
Role Summary
The role holder will provide technical analysis of (Re)insurance contracts and Endorsements and Policy Wordings, over a range of classes of Business/Insurance, providing compliant, Product and business sensitive wording, including Legal and Regulatory solutions.
Role Responsibilities
Acting as the wording specialist drafting and validation in terms of regulatory requirements and FCA principles
Perform review of existing Group and Third Party policy wordings, across all manner of placement types, including Open Market and Policies issued off Delegated Authorities
Have in-depth knowledge of insurance terminology across a broad Product Line base, working within Group Product Governance framework
Assess needs and provide solutions to facilitate agent, third party administrator and carrier contractual agreements
Identify issues and provide solutions in a timely manner taking into account the different dynamics and business needs
Role Requirements
At least 5 A-C Grade GCSE's including English, Maths and ICT
Insurance qualifications e.g. CII (Desirable)
Experience of drafting reinsurance treaties and other London Market products
Experience of working with non UK markets
3-5 years relevant experience in insurance be it in claims, legal or compliance
Experience of contracting with agents, third party administrators and insurance carriers
Use formal reporting mechanisms, as defined by Risk and Compliance or Internal Audit, to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures
At all times, consider the effect of any actions taken on the customers of the Company, with the intention of improving their experience
