Life at Aventum

For us, culture isn’t just something we talk about now and again. It’s a vital part of how we work; it makes us what we are. We’re bold, proactive and we’re never afraid to challenge the status quo. If there’s a way to do something better, we’ll find it. And we work hard to ensure that our people love being a part of the Aventum family. Because if our people love what they do, and are free to be everything they can be, they deliver better outcomes for our clients and our partners time and time again.

We live our values through everything we do

We dream big, work hard and believe that limits are an illusion.

We defy complacency, challenge the status quo and turn heads along the way.

We dare to discover and boldly venture into new territories and markets.

We are driven by a powerful craving to learn and commit to continual development

We empower people and act decisively to transform potential into reality

We are one family that values every voice and ensures we love what we do.

Of course, many organisations will tell you that their people love what they do. But we’re an organisation that would rather show you. Here’s a short video we’ve made with our people who talk openly about what it’s like to work at Aventum and what inspires them, to be the best they can be.

CSR and volunteering

At Aventum, our adventure to make things better extends well beyond insurance and sits firmly in our commitment to Corporate Social responsibility (CSR).

We want to invest in the future and in the communities in which we live and work. As ever, our people are key to how we do things. We actively encourage them to help select the charities we support, empowering them to become champions for the issues and causes that they have personal connections with. All our people are given annual volunteer days to show that we really do mean what we say. In 2020, despite challenging conditions, we raised over £30,000 in support of the causes that are close to our hearts. These include Silver, a charity that supports lonely senior citizens, and Mind, the renowned mental health charity. During the pandemic, we’ve also been proud and privileged to support thousands of key workers at a wide range of UK hospitals, by providing over 23,000 portions of fruit.

“I joined Aventum as I saw it as a company and family I could grow with, and it’s been an amazing journey and I’m looking forward to the future!”

“I joined Aventum in search of a new challenge. With this being my first role in insurance, I am very lucky to have such inspirational and knowledgeable people to help me learn the industry and support my career.”

“When I was told about the company and its trajectory for the next five years it just seemed a really exciting place to come and be part of. The scope to develop skills has been pushed since working here, and it’s exciting to move insurance forward into places that you wouldn’t expect.”
