Apprenticeships
Earn while you learn
A paid opportunity to gain real-world experience in areas like underwriting, broking, finance, claims or operations - while also studying towards industry qualifications.
Aventum apprenticeships are designed to prepare you for skilled careers by providing hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge. You’ll split your time between on-the-job learning and expert-led training sessions, building the skills you need for long term, professional success.
How long does an apprenticeship last?
The programmes typically last between one and two years and you can earn a salary along the way. Our apprentices are employed on a two year, fixed term contract and we have new cohorts starting in January and July each year. While a full time role is not guaranteed at the end of the programme, that is always the goal, and many apprentices do stay with us.
Is it for me?
If you’re a school or college leaver looking to take your first step into the world of insurance, this is for you. We welcome curious, motivated individuals who want to learn by doing and we will support you each step of the way.
Who do I contact?
All apprenticeship applications for our programmes are managed by our training provider, Metagedu. They oversee the recruitment and selection process on our behalf. Once the vacancies go live, if you’re interested in applying, please contact Metagedu directly regarding your application rather than contacting us.

Work Experience
Get a Taste of the Industry
Work experience at Aventum is not about photocopying and making tea. You’ll get stuck into hands-on activities, meet professionals from across the business and gain real insight into an industry that is bigger and more exciting than most people realise.
Is it for me?
This opportunity is for students who are curious, ambitious and ready to explore a career path that might not be on your radar yet - but should be. Whether you’re into business, finance, problem-solving or just figuring things out, there’s something here for you.
What will I do during my work experience?
You’ll get hands-on experience, hear from industry experts, take part in confidence building activities and see what a real working day looks like, from the inside out.
What is included?
We want this opportunity to be as accessible as possible. That’s why we contribute towards your travel and food costs, so you can focus on getting the most out of your time with us.
Applications for work experience are now closed. Please check back for future opportunities.
