A New Chapter in Leadership at Aventum

We are delighted to announce that John Eldridge has been promoted to Managing Director of Aventum Group.

In this newly created position, John will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business, with a particular focus on coordinating the Group’s central functions. In his new role, John will support the global expansion of Aventum’s reinsurance MGA, Rokstone and specialty broking platform, Consilium.

John’s Leadership Experience

Promoted from Chief Commercial Officer, John joined Aventum in 2020, having previously held a variety of leadership roles over a 15 year period. These roles included Managing Director of Canopius UK Specialty, Managing Director of Coleman Insurance Brokers and Head of Operations at HSBC Insurance Brokers.

Inspired by the Group’s organic development from the ground-up over the last 27 years, John said, “My role as MD is to facilitate and orchestrate, particularly the internal workings of the Group, as we embark on the next phase of our journey.”

With ambitions focused on quality rather than scale, John believes there is more to Aventum than most people realise. He said, “We are focused on being the best solution and service provider in our selected markets and the most enjoyable and inspiring place to work.”

Continued Growth and Ambition

Since reorganising the Group in 2021, Aventum has experienced tremendous growth. CEO and founder, David Bearman said, “Growth has come as a result of our success, but growth on its own has never been the ambition. Aventum is one of the very few genuinely independent, debt-free specialist insurance platforms of scale in the world, and our ambition to be the best in the industry burns bright.”

John’s promotion follows two C-Suite appointments made last year in Robert Moorhead-Lane as CRO and Hassani Jess as CTO. Confident in John’s ability in the new position, David continued, “In this new role, John can take a birds’ eye view to coordinating our operation and accelerate our ambitious plans.”
