A Summer Story Shaping Tomorrow’s Talent: Meet Our 2025 Interns

This summer, Aventum’s London office got a little busier - and a lot brighter.
On 7 July, four ambitious students joined us for 8 weeks of hands-on experience, throwing themselves into projects that stretched across legal, innovation, finance, procurement, IT and beyond. Far from coffee runs or shadowing in the background, our interns found themselves at the centre of real work, tackling challenges that matter and making meaningful contributions that will stick long after summer fades.
From drafting legal documents and rolling out our new technology to testing the boundaries of AI and driving procurement efficiencies, let’s meet the people behind the internships.
Philippa Jones - Legal Intern
Philippa’s summer was a crash course in what it really means to work at the heart of a fast-moving business. Her days ranged from drafting shareholder agreements and reviewing NDAs, to supporting broad meeting minutes and even attending a Civil Trial at the Royal Courts of Justice. Deepening her understanding of commercial law and corporate governance, Philippa saw firsthand how legal advice operates in practice.
Along the way, she got to grips with the detail that underpins every contract, built an understanding of how due diligence supports wider business goals and learned how legal teams act as both protectors and enablers of growth.
“As a law undergraduate student, this internship has been a wonderful opportunity to apply what I have studied to real-world projects. It has shown me that law isn’t just about textbooks; it’s about applying knowledge to solve complex problems that move a business forward. Being trusted with first reviews and live projects gave me a real sense of purpose and confidence in my pursuit of a legal career.”

Ifeoluwa Oyinlola - Innovation Intern
For Ifeoluwa, the Aventum Innovation Lab became a testing ground for the future. Her summer was all about experimenting with AI; evaluating how Microsoft’s tools could transform data analysis, governance and decision-making processes across the business.
Her work included evaluating Microsoft Analyst Agent for non-technical professionals and testing its ability to handle data ingestion and cleaning, as well as exploring natural language queries in Power BI and comparing data management platforms. Ifeoluwa’s work pushed the boundaries of what is possible with emerging technologies, teaching her the value of curiosity and clear communication. The Aventum mindset of being able to ask questions (and lots of them) helped her to grow in confidence and become more solution-oriented.
“Beginning this internship felt like stepping into uncharted waters. With guidance close at hand, I quickly found my rhythm and grew confident in navigating new challenges.”

Daniel Feltham - Procurement and Finance Intern
Daniel expected a ‘classic’ internship filled with admin work. What he got instead was full immersion in procurement and finance operations. He worked to overhaul visibility on vendor contracts, analysed supplier spend across two years and even helped Marketing procure branded merchandise for US teams, creating a due diligence form for new suppliers.
Gaining hands-on experience and being trusted from the outset allowed Daniel to learn and upgrade his skillset, learning how to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment as both Procurement and Finance work heavily with an array of other departments.
“Over the two month internship, working here was not what I expected. I thought I would be stuck doing basic tasks, but it was the opposite. I had great support throughout my time and feel like I have been able to show my skills and knowledge, without being held back on the basis of being an intern.”

Akinsope Akinnola - IT Intern
For Akinsope, no two days looked the same. One week, he was carrying out IT asset risk assessments, the next, he was helping to implement new asset management software or coordinating global hardware procurement with suppliers.
His summer offered a behind-the-scenes view of how IT quietly keeps a global business running and how each decision, big or small, affects the wider organisation. Akinsope explored the intricacies of IT project planning and execution, vendor collaboration and asset lifecycle management.
“My internship helped me understand how diverse and interconnected the IT landscape is, from infrastructure and asset management to vendor coordination, and how each function plays a crucial role in enabling business operations.”

Lasting Impressions
This summer showed what can happen when bright minds are given meaningful opportunities. Each of our interns walked away with sharper skills, broader experience and a clearer sense of their future. Our intern programme is a partnership we truly value and one we look forward to continuing.
