Held in the Great Room inside Park Lane’s prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel, the awards took place on 8 December. 900 insurance professionals donned their finest attire at the black tie event to see who would walk away with what.
We are delighted to be crowned winners of the B2B Marketing Campaign of the Year. Our rebranding campaign from Direct Insurance Group to Aventum was based on a strong central theme of exploration. A rebrand campaign unlike anything else in the industry, the concept was developed by a remarkably small, hard-working marketing team.
Striving to launch a new brand identity designed to leave a lasting impression, the rebrand needed to unveil the scale of the business and provide a real platform for growth. Matt Field, Chief Marketing Officer at Aventum said, “We are known for our culture, entrepreneurial spirit and fearless endeavour to push boundaries.”
The rebrand signified the coming together of a number of broking and underwriting brands under the one group identity of Aventum. Matt continued,
“We were bold in our approach - moving away from the London skyline imagery and building a brand around the explorer archetype, pushing the boundaries in insurance marketing.”
The ITAs are designed to recognise and celebrate excellence and innovation across the breadth of UKGI. Judged by independent panels of experts from across the sector, the awards shine lights on outstanding achievements and honour the best and brightest of the year. The judges recognised the team for delivering “a big, glossy and impressively cohesive rebranding campaign”.
The ceremony was hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan, while Insurance Times editor, Katie Scott, opened the ceremony. Katie shone a light on the importance of creativity and innovation within the world of insurance while acknowledging the current economic climate presents sizable challenges for the industry.
Of the nominees, she said, “Your successes and propositions will be recognised tonight as we hand out awards covering everything from excellence in technology and risk management to diversity, inclusion and professional development.”
Building on a year of awards success for the Group MGA Rokstone, who walked away with top prizes at both the British Insurance Awards and Insider Honours Awards, we are certain it’s just the beginning for the Aventum marketing team. We are certainly looking forward to what 2023 has in store.
