Back on Track: Formula 1’s Rising Star Ready to Tackle the 2024 F2 Season

Delighted to continue our sponsorship of Formula 2 driver Oliver Bearman, we are super excited for the new season to get underway this weekend.
This season promises to be a groundbreaking one for Ollie, as he not only seeks to make his mark in his second season in Formula 2 but also juggles new racing responsibilities.
Ready to Reserve
Named as one of the new reserve drivers for none other than the iconic Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 racing team, the role underscores the Ferrari Academy driver’s skill, serving as a significant step forward in his journey to Formula 1.
Throughout the season, Ollie will be on standby, ready to support the team of The Prancing Horse, showcasing his readiness to take on the challenges of the pinnacle of motorsport.
Sharing the 2024 reserve driver duties with esteemed young drivers Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Shwartzman at Ferrari, Ollie is also set to play a crucial role as the reserve driver for the Moneygram Haas F1 team, with Pietro Fittipaldi.
Practice Makes Perfect
Adding another branch to the racing tree in 2024, Ollie is also hotly anticipated to complete multiple Free Practice sessions across the season.
After impressive performances in Free Practice in both Mexico and Abu Dhabi in 2023, it is little wonder that both Haas and Ferrari are keen to keep Ollie in their sights.
The Season Ahead
Partnering with Ollie at Prema Racing in 2024 is Italian rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli. With the pair having recently completed pre-season testing at the track in Bahrain, hopes are high for the season ahead.
Hoping to improve on the Prema performance last year, which saw Ollie finish 15th and 17th in the Sprint and Feature races respectively, Team Principal Rene Rosin is confident this year’s race will be better.
He said, “We understand the cause [of the previous poor performance] and pre-season testing was important for us to get ready for the new season.”
Abundant data and a new car to get to grips with does not stop Ollie from being widely tipped for victory in the fight for the 2024 Championship crown. The combination of Ollie’s talent and Prema Racing’s expertise creates a formidable force, or shall we say formula, that will undoubtedly make Ollie the one to watch throughout the season.
Join us in wishing Ollie the best of luck for the new season and be sure to watch with us, live on Sky Sports F1.
