We’re Running the Royal Parks Half for a Cause That Matters

With just five weeks to go until race day, 12 colleagues from across Aventum Group are deep into training and fundraising as they prepare to take on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
As London’s original half marathon, the Royal Parks Half dates back to 2008, with the 13.1 mile route passing through four of London’s eight Royal Parks, including Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
Together, we have set ourselves a fundraising target of £6,000. We are proud to be running for a cause that matters and we would love your support as we ramp up our efforts in the coming weeks.
Why We Are Running
Motor Neurone Disease is a devastating disease that affects the brain and nerves. The MNDA supports people living with the condition, funds critical research and raises awareness to drive change. It is a cause that resonates with so many people and one we are proud to run for.
We are pushing ourselves to the limit, not just for the challenge, but because we believe in helping charities that make a genuine difference. Whether you donate, share or simply cheer us on - it all helps.
Who Is Running This Year?
We have 12 runners lacing up this year, including nine colleagues from Consilium, three from Rokstone and two from Aventum.
Among them are seasoned racers and first-time marathoners - but every single one is committed to the challenge and the cause. Take, for example, Jasmine Stafford from Aventum, who has clocked up a serious amount of mileage already. She said,
“I’ve been taking part in running clubs to stay motivated. So far, I have run 420km since I started training for this.”
That dedication sums up the spirit of the team, all in and all running for a reason. They are giving it everything they have and we look forward to seeing their efforts pay off on race day - Sunday 12 October.
Help Us Hit Our Target
Every donation, big or small, helps us get closer to our team goal and closer to supporting those living with MND. Whether it funds care, research or campaigning, your generosity has a real impact.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported us and, if you see us out on a training run, be sure to give us a wave. We will see you at the finish line.
