What happens when you mix curiosity, creativity and just the right amount of chaos, and then hand people the power of GenAI? At Aventum, you get retro gaming simulations and an explosion of imagination. Welcome to Vibe Coding - the first ever challenge from our new GenAI Club.

Back in May, our Tech and Innovation team kicked off the GenAI Club - a new initiative designed to help our people build confidence, curiosity and skills around all things AI. The mission? Work with AI, not against it. The sessions are focused on creativity, experimentation and having a bit of fun with the tech that is changing the world.

The very first session, Vibe Coding, was for everyone who has ever wanted to build an app but did not know where to start. Attendees learned how to use Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) to build a retro-style game directly in the browser, by prompting like a creative, not a coder.

The challenge was simple: to build the best game you can, using nothing but your imagination and the most effective prompts you could think of. The results were impressive.

Rokstone’s Chris Bartter created the winning game, Risk Runner - a fast paced shooter game with powerups (inspired by our very own Bearista coffee, of course), thrilling boss levels and a polished game play. Built with Gemini Studio 2.5 Pro, it was clever, chaotic and creative.

In second place, Max Fewtrell’s Revventum Racing V24.7 delivered serious competition, with immersive retro styling, a dynamic DRS booster and some slick lap tracking.

We also saw a modern take on Wall Breaker, a nostalgic catching game and a smart version of 20248 - all reminding us what is possible with a bit of prompting power and creative thinking.

Why We Are Doing This

GenAI is changing the way we build, think and solve problems. The GenAI Club is our space to explore those changes together, helping every part of the business feel confident using AI, experimenting with new ways of working and unlocking new ideas that push us forward.

The GenAI Club is one small step in a bigger story, bringing bold ideas to life through innovation, experimentation and inclusive learning, because when we hand the tools to our people and give them the space to explore, amazing things can happen.
