The Power of Recognition: Aventum Applaud Awards 2025

When people feel valued, they bring their best. That’s why, at Aventum, we launched Applaud, our new employee recognition platform designed to make giving and receiving feedback easier than ever.
Whether it is a quick ‘thanks’ for lending a helping hand or recognition for a major achievement, Applaud helps us celebrate and embed our core values into the work we do.
Recognising great work isn’t just about big wins, but about the everyday efforts that make a difference. That’s why at Dare to Discover 2025, we introduced our first-ever Applaud Awards, celebrating those who truly live our values. Meet our winners:
Prioritising Customer - Sandy Panesar
Sandy’s dedication to strengthening relationships with our largest and most complex brokers has set a new standard. His persistence in securing key meetings, resolving backlog issues and implementing proactive solutions has significantly enhanced client relationships, reduced aged debt and improved cash allocation.
Maximising Collaboration - Molly Cockburn
Molly has been an inspiration over the past year, working seamlessly across multiple teams at Consilium. Her support in strategic marketing and dedication to increasing visibility for new teams joining the business have been invaluable, making her a true advocate for collaboration.
Demonstrating Courage - Reece Ranson
Resilience, determination and an all-around positive attitude define Reece’s contribution to the business. No challenge is too great and despite tough times, he has continued to push forward, bringing both solutions and contagious team spirit.
Owning Commitment - Avril Cox
Avril’s commitment to representing and promoting iSure across the industry is unmatched. Balancing a demanding Senior Underwriter role with extensive travel and relationship building, she has played a key role in strengthening broker partnerships and elevating iSure’s reputation in the past 12 months.
Improving Continuously - Lewis Phillips
Lewis has been instrumental in driving operational improvements. His proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and implementing meaningful solutions has significantly enhanced internal processes and overall performance.
Alongside our core value-driven awards, two special categories were introduced to highlight the broader contributions to the business.
Accelerating Action - Charlette Newland
In honour of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, we introduced this award to recognise women leading change in their communities and workplaces and taking bold steps towards progress and inclusivity. Charlette’s mentorship and support have made a lasting impact, with one colleague stating they wouldn’t be where they are today without her guidance.
CEO Award - Maria Rogers
Selected from a shortlist of finalists from across the business (nominated by Exco members), this award honours individuals who have made a significant impact over the last 12 months.
Maria’s exceptional performance, strategic thinking and analytical approach have been key to securing and onboarding major third party clients, including successfully placing a complex new client within just nine weeks. With 100% client retention, her diligence and expertise continue to drive success.
Real recognition highlights the everyday moments that shape our culture and keep driving us forward. Congratulations to all of our winners and everyone nominated.
