Aventum is our new group brand – responsible for placing and writing $600m of gross written premium into (re)insurance markets around the world annually.

Aventum is home to two distinct businesses – Rokstone, our market-leading underwriting MGA, and Consilium, our Lloyd’s and London market broking business, both driven by a passion for making (re)insurance better.

Aventum provides Consilium and Rokstone with the vital core team support, to allow them to continue to grow and provide more products, more efficiently, and produce better outcomes for our broker and capacity partners.

Our core team support includes Marketing, Finance, IT & Operations, Compliance and HR . We have made significant investment in digital transformation, to improve our businesses, harnessing the latest technology to continually evolve how we deliver our products and manage relationships.

Importantly, for those used to working with Direct Insurance Group, this name change to Aventum does not change anything about our Group ethos or the people working for our Group. Your point of contact remains the same, as do the teams supporting you.

Aventum will make a lot more noise in the market about what we as a Group have achieved with the support of our partners until now, and what we will achieve in the future. With a higher profile in the market we believe we can keep up our growth trajectory and continue to attract the best talent that the market has to offer.

Built on the principles of daring to break new ground in the world of (re)insurance, we empower our staff to embrace new ideas, and employ lateral thinking in the placement of complex risk.

However, these values are nothing new. We’ve always been entrepreneurial, stretching right back to 1996, when our CEO David Bearman first founded what is now Aventum as a small retail broker.

At every step on our evolution to becoming the specialist global (re)insurance group we are today, with 13 offices, trading across six continents, and in over 100 territories around the world, we have maximised an opportunity to grow by doing things differently and embracing opportunity where others have not.

Our name change to Aventum is just another step on the journey to becoming the biggest and best independent (re)insurance intermediary in the world.
